Marley Spoon offers Dinnerly in Germany
Marley Spoon has started offering Dinnerly, its affordable food delivery service, in Germany. The spin-off sells meal kits that starts at 2.99 euros per serving.
Dinnerly was first launched in July 2017 and presented as the first affordable meal kit offering. Marley Spoon, which started in Berlin but has since made its focus the United States, is now launching this service in Germany.
How Dinnerly works
Dinnerly works similar to other recipe kits. Customers still get a box filled with fresh ingredients. One of the changes is that the recipe instructions can be found online, instead of being printed on a glossy paper card.
In every box, there are ingredients to make three meals. Customers in Germany can choose from a menu of 8 weekly recipes, with ingredients changing every season. The recipes should take less than 30 minutes to prepare and cook, and are available in either 2 or 4 servings.

‘Reducing stressful meal planning and grocery shopping’
The company tries to offer easy dinner ideas, to reduce stressful meal planning and grocery shopping. And by offering simple dinner recipes it wants to reduce the amount customers spend on chopping and slicing food. It also promises that the meals are easy to cook. “Fewer ingedrients per dish means fewer dishes to clean.”
